Arranged marriages have recieved a lot of backlash in the past few years but i might reconsider...afterall, your parents know you the best and should be able to predict what you seek in a partner...no? TO BE CONT'D

i met an indian couple today; it was an arranged marriage and up untill three months ago, they hadnt seen each other. They live together now;happily married... I dont recall the last time i met a couple as content with each other as these two are..You should see the calm euphoria they elicit out of one another.....

well these couples are suppose 2 be content with their 'unknown' spouse cause it's their religion and they do not have a choice u know....
ReplyDeletei agree with you... parents do know best! plus this world is so backwards - finding a mate take so long and a lot of people get 'stuck' with people they don't really for reasons like familiarity or offspring.

like reginald says it is their religion but also the obligation to be with this person leaves room for you to grow together and learn to love each other, which is done anyway when looking for your own mate! arranged marriages just have more of a success rate.
well i dont fink its rite....cuz i cud assure u that wen u compare the kinda gal or boy u want with wat ur parents give u, theirs might be well behaved but urs will be wat u want...if shes crazy or sexy or funi...its ur reason y u wanna marry her...a well behaved person is nice to be with but will she make u happy? sometimes we feel we kno ppl more than they kno themselves but we all kno sometimes we are wrong....sometimes ur perfect partner looks too crazy in my eyes.....omari
